FAQ

Can I watch my cameras from my phone?

Yes, all our systems support secure remote viewing from mobile and PC.

How we scope a CCTV project

We do not start from a camera count. We start from a list of what you actually need to see, because that is what decides everything else. "Watch the gate" and "read the plate of a car at the gate" are two different projects with two different lenses, two different resolutions and two very different prices. So the survey produces a purpose for every camera position before it produces a quotation.

What actually drives the price

  • Purpose per position — general view, face identification, or plate reading. Each demands a different lens and resolution.
  • Retention period. Thirty days of recording costs far more in storage than seven, and this is the item most often quietly reduced in a cheap quotation.
  • Cable routes and distance. A finished building is a different job from one still being fitted out; runs beyond 100 metres need fibre or an intermediate cabinet.
  • Night requirement — standard infrared, or full-colour night cameras where a clothing colour or a face matters after dark.
  • Power protection. Surge protection on outdoor runs and a UPS for the recorder; unstable mains destroys more cameras in Egypt than any other cause.

Storage is calculated, not estimated

We put the storage figure in writing in the quotation, worked out from camera count, resolution, bitrate and the retention you asked for. A system delivered with undersized storage looks perfect for a month, then starts overwriting the earliest days — usually discovered on the day you need them.

Our installation process

Site survey and purpose list ← technical and commercial proposal with itemised lines ← conduit and cabling ← camera mounting and aiming ← recorder configuration, naming and motion zones ← a night-time check on site, because a camera aimed perfectly at noon can be useless at 10pm ← remote access setup on your phones ← training ← documented handover.

What you receive at handover

A drawing of camera positions with the purpose of each, a list of IP addresses and credentials, remote access configured and tested on your own phone, a short operating guide for retrieving and exporting footage, and a maintenance contract with a defined response time. A system handed over without these becomes hostage to one technician.

Sectors we install for

Homes and villas, shops and showrooms, pharmacies and clinics, restaurants and cafés, factories and warehouses, schools, compounds and residential towers, and enterprise sites needing plate recognition at gates and thermal detection on the perimeter.

Maintenance and warranty

Warranty covers the hardware; the maintenance visit covers what actually degrades in service — dust on the dome, a lens knocked out of aim, a disk approaching end of life, and a recorder clock that has drifted. Most "camera failures" we are called to are one of these four, and all of them are cheaper to prevent than to fix.

Questions we are asked constantly

How many cameras do I need?

It depends on what you need to see, not on the area. Two correctly aimed cameras almost always beat one wide-angle camera that shows everything and identifies nobody.

Can I view the cameras from abroad?

Yes — remote viewing is set up and tested on your phone before we leave site, not left as a link sent afterwards.

Can I add cameras to my existing system?

Usually yes. If the recorder has free channels and the cabling is sound, expansion is straightforward. We check both before quoting a full replacement.
