How we deliver a smart home project

Our first step is not a quotation — it is opening one switch box on site. The presence or absence of a neutral wire changes the entire solution: with it, ordinary smart switches work; without it, we move to modules fitted behind the existing switches, or to switches designed to run without neutral. Any price quoted before that check is a price that will change during installation.

We deliver in stages, and that is deliberate

A staged smart home is cheaper and more successful than one large project. We normally begin with lighting and air-conditioning control because they give the highest daily payoff, then curtains, locks and sensors, then integration with cameras and intercom. Each stage is sized to its own budget, and the system stays expandable because the protocol was chosen correctly at the start.

What drives the price

• Number of lighting points and switches — the largest single item in any apartment.
• Neutral wire present or not, which determines the entire approach.
• Protocol: Wi-Fi for small starts, Zigbee for apartments and villas because every mains device strengthens the mesh, wired systems for projects needing long-term stability.
• Motorised curtains and how many — the most expensive single item and the one people notice most.
• Whether the property is under fit-out or already furnished, which changes the method completely.

Two conditions we hold to on every installation

First: the manual switch keeps working — lights must never depend on an app opening or an internet connection. Second: automation logic stays local in the hub wherever possible, so saved scenes keep running even with the internet completely down.

Scenes we actually configure for clients

A leaving scene that turns off all lighting and air conditioning with one press; corridor and bathroom lighting on motion at night at low brightness; the water heater cutting power automatically after a set period; and an instant phone alert on a water leak under the sink or behind the washing machine. These are what keep a system in use rather than forgotten after a month.

Does the house need chasing and breaking?

In a furnished home, no — we use modules behind existing switches and wireless devices. Chasing is only needed if you choose a wired system in a property under fit-out.

Do voice commands work in Arabic?

Partially. Simple commands work; English is considerably stronger. If Arabic voice control is essential to you, we demonstrate it before you build the system around it.

Can I start with one room?

Yes, and it is a good way to try the system. What matters is choosing the hub and protocol correctly at the start, so expanding means adding devices rather than replacing everything.
